LS Power Announces Plans For New $1 Billion Dollar Power Plant

A 600 megawatt power plant is planned on the northeast side of Waterloo by a New Jersey based company.  Project announced in early December 2005.

VGM Inc. Expands Adding 140 Jobs and 50,000 Square Feet of New Office Space

Van G. Miller & Associates has announced a $5 million expansion.  Virtually all the initial 140 jobs added would be for VGM's Homelink division, which works with managed care organizations and worker compensation providers to acquire home medical equipment, for which it is then compensated by insurance companies.


Two High Tech Expansions - Distek Integration Inc. and Team Technologies

The Cedar Valley has turned a high-tech economic development double play:   Team Technologies data center serves as a computer data storage center.  Distek develops software and computer display systems.

Overnight Transportation Locates 2nd Iowa Operation In The Cedar Valley

A transportation company associated with the under-construction Ferguson Enterprises plumbing supply warehouse will hire 25 initially and add another 50-60 people.

CBE Expansion To Add 200 Jobs in Waterloo

A local debt recovery agency has landed a major federal contract, and will be adding 200 workers over the next 18 months to Waterloo.  The CBE Group Inc. was awarded a student loan collection contract from the U.S. Department of Education.

Deal Arranged for Expanded Industrial Park's First Tenant Bossard IIP

Bossard IIP received approval for its new 200,000 square foot distribution center.  Bossard IIP (Iowa Industrial Products) currently has a smaller facility in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park.
