The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber offers many opportunities for you to impact the growth of the Cedar Valley economy and improve our civic life. Our task forces and committees work to achieve goals related to business and educational events and programs. Volunteering on a task force is an effective way to get your business noticed and to contribute to the business environment in the Cedar Valley. The following task forces and committees are seeking involvement from business people like you.

Annual Celebration Task Force

Bette WubbenaGoal: To plan and conduct the annual celebration for the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber. At this event, the Alliance & Chamber investors/members recognize Cedar Valley businesses and individuals with several different awards. This event is attended by more than 600 people.

Economic Inclusion Task Force

Jean TrainorGoal: The committee consists of members from The Cedar Valley business community who are dedicated to uncovering and realizing opportunities that promote the business case and the impact economic inclusion in the Cedar Valley. The committee implements a variety of initiatives designed to promote economic inclusion in the workplace, such as inclusion-focused publications, special events, and educational seminars.

Government Affairs Committee

Mike McCraryGoal: The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber is the One Voice for Cedar Valley business to work with local, state, and federal governments. The main focus of Government Relations activity is economic growth and business climate improvement. Throughout the year, the Alliance & Chamber tracks and brings to your attention issues that have an impact on your bottom line.

Investor Relations Committee

Tom NagleGoal: The Investor Relations Committee consists of members of the business community who are dedicated to continually improving the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber as an organization and listening to what are investors want and need to grow and strengthen our economy. The main focus of the Investor Relations Committee is to develop out-of-the box ideas to help promote the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber increasing investor return on investment, participation, and retention.
